Cheekbone Beauty Liquid Lipstick S/S 2019

Y’all. Y”ALL. This collection is so good. The colours are vibrant as always and honestly this collection is where its at. I am

As always the Liquid Lipsticks are named after strong Indigenous Women and this collection does not disappoint.

First on the list is Nikki, a soft light pink colour, named after Nikki Fraser an Indigenous Rights Activist and youth representative for NWAC (Native Womans Association of Canada) hailing from the Secwepemc Nation.

Second is Tanya, a beautiful lilac lip, named after Tanya Tagaq, an indigenous inuit artist hailing from Cambridge Bay in Nunavut. This amazing woman has also written the amazing prose book Split Tooth which is a moving and look into life of northern nehiyaw girl on the cusp of womanhood.

Last but not least is Sunny, a dark coral colour, named after Sunny “Luta” Red Bear, a writer and public speaker hailing from the Cheyenne River Sioux reservation. Her work on the MMIW (Missing Murdered Indigenous Woman) is insurmountable.

The formula for these lip products is more akin to a velvet matte lip stick and while it is not transfer proof it does stay on for 8 hours.

I did compare some of the lip colours to previous colours in the collection.

Melina (Top) is closest to Nikki but you can see from the photo that it has more of a brown undertone while Nikki (Bottom)is a bright pink.

Sarain (Bottom) is very close to Sunny but Sunny (Top) is dark and richer with a red undertone.

This collection is very cohesive and vibrant. All of Cheekbone Beauty’s liquid lipsticks are vegan and cruelty free, so they are eye safe and I have used their products for eyeliner before and I have many ideas for using this collection as eyeliner for some pastel looks.

Dont forget my code is VEROS73 and it saves you 10% on your purchases at Cheekbone Beauty.
