This is actually kind of part of a mini haul I did recently. Either way, I was looking around browsing and I came accross the e.l.f products. By this point in time i had heard so much about the e.l.f. Cosmetics Flawless Concealer that I figured it was time to pick it up. I dont normally fall into the hype of most makeup releases, mostly because I like to save my money and use up as much of my current products before I try new ones (it saves me a lot of money and a lot of space.) but I was bored and waiting so I decided to pick up a few new drugstore products.
When I picked up the concealer I had no idea what I was in for. clearly. When you buy it in st
ore its in a VERY unassuming package. When you take it out you realise that maybe you are biting off more than you can chew.
The doe foot applicator is HUGE!! I mean, I’ve got a small face. The applicator
alone can take up the entirety of my undereyes. Serious. This photo
was just me barely using the applicator on my face. I do appreciate the amount of product you do get out of a swipe though.
I do like how light the formula is but it is also extremely full coverage (mind you I did pick up a shade fairly light for my skin tone but thats what happens when you pick things up at a drugstore) I went for the medium peach shade because there were only three options where I bought this from but if I could’ve picked something darker I would’ve.
It did crease fairly quickly on me but I am in my 30’s, super greasy and I never set with any powder because when I do it, I look at the very least 5 years older.
Here is the concealer blended out. It doesn’t look too light when blended out, I did end up using some covergirl powder to set it and help darken the colour.
All in all I really do like this concealer. I was very intimidated by the huge doefoot applicator but all in all it wasnt a bad experience. The formula isn’t as creamy as the nars creamy concealer but it blends really nicely. Its a lot less watery than the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer as well. I would say its the perfect summer concealer as it is very lightweight and definitely blends out.
For a $5.00 concealer. You really cant go wrong!
